More than the 1st of January, Spring is when I feel my fresh starts happen. Being the season of renewal and growth, it's often associated with "New Beginnings", which is why it’s only natural to feel the urge for a bit of a reset. Whether that's in your work life, personal or within your style, those lighter, longer days have us feeling inspired.
Here's what I'm wearing this Springtime...
TOPS
Never estimate the power of basics. I spent too long not having core pieces to build my outfits with and with the weather in the Springtime being ever so temperamental, layering is key. Pretty blouses and light knits are always on the top of my Spring wish-list.
BOTTOMS
Having never been a 'denim' kind of girl, I’ve only recently started embracing it in my wardrobe—and now I finally have a few go-to pairs. Straight-leg and wide-leg styles are my favourites; they’re effortlessly chic, endlessly flattering, and always comfortable. H&M’s Featherlight Denim is particularly dreamy—soft, lightweight, and perfect for the milder months. Alongside denim, I always have a pair of tailored trousers—both a smart, structured pair and an easy pull-on style. They’re a great alternative to jeans and such an effortless throw-on option, instantly making you look put together.
OUTERWEAR
Unless it’s not your style, I always recommend investing in a good-quality trench coat. It’s effortless to layer over t-shirts and knitwear, making it a versatile piece that works for both casual and smart styling. Right now, a structured short jacket is on my wish list, along with a blazer that’s thick enough to double as outerwear.
FOOTWEAR
My footwear doesn’t change much as we transition into spring—I keep it simple with a good pair of white trainers and heeled boots. The one addition I make, and recently have, is a pair of slide-on mules. They're great for those warmer brisk days, with a pair of cropped straight leg jeans and a trench coat.
