In the heart of Seville’s historic centre, nestled atop the Mercer Plaza Hotel, Terrace 1912 overlooks the Plaza de San Francisco—the grand square bathed in sunlit stone and ornate façades. It's thoughtfully split across three levels, offering a variation of seating, the elegant but relaxed atmosphere was dreamlike, it is the perfect place to wind down on a mild Spanish evening, cocktail in hand.
We were advised against visiting Seville, known as the cooking oven of Europe in the height of July, but it turned out to be the perfect time to come. When visiting Terrace 1912, we had the luck of having the entire rooftop to ourselves, where was everyone else? I don't know, probably somewhere cooler, but we weren't complaining. The views at sunset were beautiful, drinks - divine and wrapped in the evening warmth, the background music soothed any stresses of the day away.
If you find yourself in Seville, find that time to spend an evening at Terrace 1912, go just before sunset, order something citrus-infused, and watch the city turn to gold.
When to Visit:
Golden hour is ideal — arrive just before sunset to catch the soft light over Seville’s rooftops. Evenings are warm, calm, and best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand.
What to Order:
Try one of their citrus-infused cocktails or a classic gin and tonic. Light bites are available too, perfectly paired with the view.
