If there's one thing I need right now, it's consistent weather, rather than mountainous drops and rises in temperature every few days, of which my body clearly cannot cope with. Ironically, in the slow, mundane days, I've been reaching less for coffee, since being ill I suppose I've grown slightly more fond of tea, keeping me restful and poised against the elements outside. With the month never-ending, I suppose I'm looking at it as having more time to prepare, to re-inspire myself, to get shit in order, so that the next few months will be rich with flavour and opportunity.

I'm clenching hard onto each brief moment of clarity and excitement, which pushes my lack of coffee mindset into a productive drive filled with gratitude. There's always going to come the days where we're stuck, ponderous and staring into blank spaces, which aren't going to fill the voids needed, but we'll always be able to start new each day, to re-tune, re-wire. No day is supposed be to be the same experience, we can't expect to be on a constant roll, we have to trip, fuck up, scream, laugh, do less, do more. We have to ride a wave of uncertainty, unsure of the descent, sometimes to just keep moving forward and to get out of the rut that we find ourselves in. It's in these times, we doubt ourselves, our path and perhaps the things we've put a lot of faith in; maybe once in a while this means it's a time for change, a new direction, or maybe it's a time where we've just got to hold on a little longer and a little harder, because we're getting there.

The start of a new year is always unhurried and bleak, even if we're full of enthusiasm for the year ahead, it can be daunting to get started, we get caught up in the rush of wanting it all here and now, only to suddenly crash and question it all on slower, unmotivated days. Remember it's just one day, maybe a few others are similar, but they aren't the final definition of where you headed. It's a sluggish time right now, but hold on, a new month is nearly here and soon is Spring too my dear.
