As Septembers finally here,

for many of us we are starting a-fresh, a new year at school, college, or maybe even a job. We prepare ourselves for the worst; the stress, new faces, new surroundings, new challenges... But when we face the reality of it, we don't d-e-a-l with it, we just procrastinate.
We all know how hard it is to get back into a routine after having the Summer months off, I sometimes realise I've forgotten how to write after not having to for so long.
So my one goal starting from now, here in September - all the way through to the end of this year, is to not procrastinate 80-99.9% of the time.

So heres 6 simple steps on how to create a balanced and consistent ... um, life! I guess??

1. Water, tea & detox.

After drinking water with lemons and ice in it, day after day I started to feel so naturally refreshed. Many factual reasons it's a good thing to drink this daily is because it - give your immune system a boost, good source of potassium, aims in digestion, cleanses your system, keeps your skin blemish free, helps in weight loss and helps fight viral infections.
On the tea side of things... Any tea is a great alternative to snacking, and to keep you warm during the colder months, but the tea I having been loving recently, is Ginger, Green tea. It is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. If you've even had ginger biscuits, you will love this tea.
I've also said detox, because in my recent experience it's good to cleanse out your system and leaves you feeling a little bit more refreshed and healthier.

2. Do your work/assignment when it is set.

Get - it - out - the - way. Any work you are set, with a deadline that may be either in the next few days, or the following week, I order you to at least start it when you receive it, because once it is done, you have all the free time in the world! Well ish. It makes things far less stressful and doesn't leave you doing it last minute.

3. Take a walk.

Whether its solo or with someone, sometimes all you need is a little bit of fresh air. It's also exercise that you don't really make a big deal out of! I like going on long walks, once or twice a week, to either clear my mind, or catch up with my b's.

4. Look at Tumblr/Pinterest & or other blogs for inspiration to keep your motivation high!

Tumblr is probably the main reason why I am trying to be more and more dedicated to my blog and why I have become more active and healthier. It gives me a boost in confidence and motivation a lot of the time.

5. Do something active 4-6 days a week, for at least 30 mins.

I always feel guilty if I sit on my ass all day, well actually once, twice, maybe three times a week for me it's ok, but then I need to do something. I normally just do a workout, but I'd like to start pilates or yoga as well.

6. Plan an evening with friends either once or every two weeks.

Go out for dinner/drinks, have a movie/game night, go on a hike/bike ride. SOCIALISE. This is something I honestly cannot be bothered to do often, not because I am rude, and don't like people, but because I'm just not that driven to go out much anymore as I'm constantly tired and just want to relax.

So believe it or not, start doing the majority of these 6 steps on a daily basis, and you'll find yourself in a mildly relaxed, consistent and happy routine. You'll be feeling refreshed and happy inside and out!
